Cristy had such a great time at the Chrysler Nationals in 2020 that she couldn’t wait to return. We all know 2020 had its “challenges” but Cristy was still very impressed with the event and the patrons that she couldn’t wait to return and experience a normal show. Everyone made her feel so welcome, and we know for a fact that she made some lifelong friends as a result of attending the show. If you missed her last time, this is your chance to meet Cristy.

Meet the Guys Who Did the Cool Ads in the ‘60s & ‘70s
Jim Ramsey and Joe Schulte might not be household names, but you know their work. They did many of the cool (read: psychedelic) ads from the muscle car era. Better still, they weren’t just ad guys, they were true enthusiasts! Jim and Joe lived the life they were tasked with selling. Yup, they had Hemi cars…modified by Petty Enterprises, to boot!

Jim and Joe will participate in a seminar with Herb McCandless and Buddy Martin on Saturday at the stage. The four men will talk about how they worked together back in the day and share their stories. Following the seminar, Jim and Joe will be in the Autograph Tent to sign autographs and talk one-on-one with YOU. They have some really cool stories about how they did ads at the time!

Paul Rossi spent many years racing for Dodge and Direct Connection as both a drag racer and a road racer…and he was very successful at both! We’re going to kick off the show on Friday morning at 10 a.m. with a State of the Hobby Address. Paul will be one of our featured speakers and we’ll conclude the presentation with the unveiling of Paul’s recently completed 1970 Challenger Super Stocker!
Paul did more than just race for Dodge. He was instrumental in connecting Dodge with Carroll Shelby. He also worked closely with Lee Iacocca on several projects. You can talk directly to Paul about all of his accomplishments in racing and with Dodge. Look for Paul and his Challenger directly behind the main stage.
As Mopar enthusiasts, we tend to be “collectors” in general gathering items beyond just cars and parts. We collect ANYTHING related to the brand we love! Now we want to display items from your collection that are not cars, trucks or vans. We’re looking for things like Chrysler boats, Sno Runners, Ross Barracuda bikes, signs and so on.

Now we want to display items from your collection that are not cars, trucks or vans. We’re looking for things like Chrysler boats, Sno Runners, Ross Barracuda bikes, signs and so on. They can be items produced under the Chrysler brand or just items that have a connection (such as the Barracuda bikes).
Items will go way beyond those mentioned above and we’re looking for the obscure. Do you have something that most enthusiasts don’t know about with a connection to Chrysler? You are strongly encouraged to submit an application to have it considered for this special display. If you think it related to this display, we’d love to get a submission from you. We’re really hoping to find things we never knew existed!
We Want to Put the Spotlight on Mopars with a Family Connection
Just what are we looking for? You tell us. The obvious scenario is a car that was handed down from a mother to her son or maybe a father/daughter project. But we know the family connections are sometimes more obscure than that, so we want to hear YOUR story of how your Mopar has a family connection for this indoor display.

But we know the family connections are sometimes more obscure than that, so we want to hear YOUR story of how your Mopar has a family connection for this indoor display.
This feature will be more about the story than the car so be sure to tell us all about the family connection when you apply. We’ve heard a lot of great family stories over the years and we love them. Now is your chance to share your car and your story with the rest of the Mopar hobby. Just about every Mopar has a family story. We want to hear yours and then we’ll pick the ones that are the best combination of the story AND the car. CLICK HERE to apply and tell us your story.
We’re looking for some of the best and/or most unique Mopars from 1972 to display indoors at the 2022 Chrysler Nationals. If you’re more of a Showfield person, we want as many ‘72s as we can get!

Pre-Order Your 1971 Plymouth ‘Cuda 340 M2 Die-Cast

This year will be the 340 ‘Cuda from the 1971 Plymouth ad; the left side of that ad to be exact. The packaging also contains the left side of the ad to complete the effect.

We’re Shooting for the Largest Gathering of ’70 Chargers Ever…Again
Covid messed up a lot of things for all of us, but, it messed up the 50th anniversary of the ’70 Charger in particular…so we’re going to give it another shot! The main organizer of this display is Canadian and so are many of the 1970 Charger owners. We want to take another shot at this, for our Canadian neighbors and all the 1970 Charger owners. They were robbed of the opportunity for the largest reunion of ’70 Chargers ever and we want to give them a second chance!

You’ll even be able to ask your own questions and get immediate feedback from the panel of presenters. All of this will occur at 10am on Friday at the Stage.

If you have a vehicle that you think should be featured, you are strongly encouraged to submit an application. The process only takes about 5 to 10 minutes but please be sure to have some good photos ready to upload (it’s as easy as attaching them to an email). Carlisle Area Lions Clubs and Salvation Army Accepting Donations in 2022
There is undeniable turmoil currently playing out in the Eastern European country of Ukraine. Since February, its people have been under attack from the Russian military. As survivors flee, many have been left in need of support in ways that most will never comprehend.
There is undeniable turmoil currently playing out in the Eastern European country of Ukraine. Since February, its people have been under attack from the Russian military. As survivors flee, many have been left in need of support in ways that most will never comprehend. In a simultaneous act, the war rages on, while a large-scale international humanitarian effort plays out. Carlisle Events is teaming with Carlisle Area Lions Clubs and the Carlisle Salvation Army to receive donations that can ultimately help those in need.
This year when you cruise to Carlisle as a spectator, vendor or show car participant, look for the Salvation Army on grounds or Carlisle Area Lions Clubs at our entry gates. When you see them, please consider donating as we all work together to help those in need. Learn more about our host organizations online today and thanks in advance for your generosity and support.

The $5 off savings is offered for service members who show a valid military ID when purchasing and is for only the ID holder and their single day admission. This discount is available for in person purchase only to any Carlisle Events hosted show during the current season.

Handy Tips for a Successful Trip through the Automotive Flea Market
FREE Taxi Service and Parts Hauling Help Get You from A to B at Carlisle
The Carlisle PA Fairgrounds is a large footprint that can be a challenge at times, even for the most experienced attendee. 82 acres, 16+ miles of paved roadway, vendors and cars everywhere…it’s easy to understand how you may start wondering to yourself “where did I see that part or car I want to buy?” “How do I get my purchase from its space to my truck?” “How am I going to do this?”

Never fear, because we’ve compiled a helpful list of ways that enhance your on-site experience at Carlisle! Thanks for joining us and enjoy your time at the show!
BRING CASH - The more the better. It’s hard to negotiate a deal without being able to pay.
WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES - It’s a lot of walking.
SUN BLOCK/DRINK LIQUIDS - You’ll be in the sun all day. It’s important to protect yourself and stay hydrated, especially if your weekend outdoors is your first prolonged exposure to the sun for the year.
REMEMBER THE SPACE - Take a picture of the space location or write it down. Every space at Carlisle has a disk to designate the space. Look down and you’ll see the space marker. Write down the letter and number. Don’t try to remember the space or the surrounding area. You’ll spend the rest of the day looking for it.
COME EARLY - Rare parts and great deals typically happen for the first person to find them. Set up day(s) and the first day of the event are for the serious shoppers.
ACT FAST - If you see a great deal, grab it. If you plan to come back later, it will probably be gone.
NEGOTIATE - It’s a flea market so don’t be afraid to make a REASONABLE offer.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED - Chances are good that you will find something you weren’t planning to find, so keep your eyes open.
LOOK EVERYWHERE - Even if you are looking for parts for your brand of vehicle, don’t walk past the vendor selling parts for other models or generations just because you assume there’s no way the vendor has what you want. Give their space a look too. They might not only have it, it may be cheap since it’s not what they typically sell.
USE THE CARLISLE EVENTS APP - Use the FREE Carlisle Events app to easily find your way back to a vendor (if you know the row and space). You can also use it to check activity schedules, register for other events, connect with fellow enthusiasts via social media, browse a digital copy of the event guide and more.
STAY LATE – There are always deals at Carlisle, but sometimes the best ones happen early on day 1 of a show, or late on its final day. Vendors are typically more willing to negotiate when they are packing up – especially large items.
BRING A SHOPPING LIST - Our memories aren’t as good as we think. Write it down. You can even make a list on your phone. Take pictures of what you need.
BRING A BAG, CART, ETC. - Parts will get heavy so have a way to carry your purchases. Ask the seller if you can leave heavy parts until later.
HAVE IT HAULED - Carlisle Events offers FREE* parts hauling. Keep that in mind if you’re looking at an engine, transmission, truck bed, etc.
FREE TAXI SERVICE – Need to get from point A to point B but don’t feel like walking it? Carlisle Events offers a FREE* taxi service. Dial 717-960-6429 to secure a ride.
ASK! - If someone has parts for a vehicle but not the ones you need, ask if the seller has it. It might still be in his truck or at home. Even if he doesn’t, he might know someone who does.
KNOW THE VALUE - Do some homework on the parts you’re looking for so you know if the price is a good deal.
AVOID THE CROWDS - When you arrive, go to an out-of-the-way area to start rather than following the herd.
WALK IT ALL - Don’t miss any rows. The Carlisle Fairgrounds isn’t a perfect grid so make sure you hit every row and space.
ADVERTISE - Wear a hat, shirt or signboard that spotlights what you’re looking for. It just might create a conversation, especially if what you’re searching for is obscure and/or rare.
*While parts hauling and taxi service are free, donations are graciously accepted. Donated money goes directly to the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend! We hope to see you there.
A non-denominational worship service is held at 9:00AM Sunday morning. We welcome you to join us for the service led by the Salvation Army and our partners-in-faith. Coffee and donuts available. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend! We hope to see you there.
